What is Beef Tallow anyway?

  • Beef Tallow in simple terms is rendered beef SUET. (This is important!)
  • There are TWO kinds of fats on a cow, trim fat & SUET. Suet is the fat that surrounds the organs & kidneys. Trim fat is all other fat from the cow. This fat typically contains more water than suet. Suet has a higher concentration of essential fatty acid and vitamins comparatively. 
  • It is VERY important to only buy tallow skincare that is made strictly from SUET fat, as the trim fat is not as beneficial to our skin. 

Where is my Beef Tallow sourced from?

  • I source my 100% Grass-Fed Suet Beef Tallow from a small farm based in Vermont. They dry render the 100% Grass-Fed Beef Suet by hand which they source from another grass-fed beef farm down the road from them. I searched high and low, and tried MANY different kinds to find the BEST one for you all. 
  • 100% Grass-Fed Cows provide a fat that will be denser in vitamins, thus creating a body product full of healing benefits!

What are the benefits of using Beef Tallow?

  • Beef Tallow is packed full of Vitamin A, E, K, D, & B1. 
  • Beef Tallow is composed of oleic acid, palmitic acid, and stearic acid and increases plasma fatty acid concentration, which means it is the ultimate skin hydration tool and is ESSENTIAL for skin health.
  • Tallow almost perfectly matches our natural sebum on our skin, which means it is non-clogging as well. 
  • Tallow may also beneficial for treating dermatitis, psoriasis, and other skin wounds. 
  • Tallow is anti-microbial and creates a 'shield' over your skin from harmful bacteria that creates acne and other daily skin pollution.
